Tax Analogy with Beer ( First Edition)
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve.
‘Since you are all such good customers,’ he said, ‘I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. ‘Drinks for the ten now cost just $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.
But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share?’ They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer.
So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay. And so the fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings). The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings). The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 ( 22% savings). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free.
But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. ‘I only got a dollar out of the $20,’ declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,’ but he got $10! ”Yeah, that’s right,’ exclaimed the fifth man. ‘I only saved a dollar, too.
It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I!!
”That’s true!!’ shouted the seventh man. ‘Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks! ”Wait a minute,’ yelled the first four men in unison. ‘We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!!! ‘The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important.
They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!!!!!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works.
The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
For those who understand, no explanation is needed.
For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.

Prayer for Home and Family
Lord, behold our family here assembled. We thank Thee for this place in which we dwell; for the love that unites us; for the peace accorded us this day; for the hope with which we expect the morrow; for the health, the work, the food, and the bright skies that make our lives delightful; for our friends in all parts of the earth.
Let peace abound in our small company. Purge out of every heart the lurking grudge. Give us grace and strength to forbear and to persevere. Offenders, give us the grace to accept and to forgive offenders. Forgetful ourselves, help us to bear cheerfully the forgetfulness of others.
Give us courage and gaiety and the quiet mind. Spare to us our friends, soften to us our enemies. Bless us, if it may be, in all our innocent endeavors. If it may not, give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temperate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.
As the clay to the potter, as the windmill to the wind, as children of their sire, we beseech of Thee this help and mercy for Christ's sake.
-Robert Louis Stevenson

Michael Crichton and Phillip Stott
Prior to his death, Michael Crichton with Phillip Stott participated in a debate on whether global warming is a crisis. This video of them is great. They cut right through the baloney and tells it like it is.

You Be The Judge
I am going to not have any commentary on this video. You tell me what you think about it. Here is the website
Man- Made Global Warming??
Here is another article for you to read. With declining temps for the year and no actual warming since 1997, the supposed scientist are grabbing for straws to keep you believing. Please do all that you can to study this situation. There is a link in my favorites for you to study about this as well. I believe that what is happening is that this is a back door to socialism. They play on your thoughts that you are doing good for the "planet" by allowing these things to happen. Do you realize that Al Gore has made hundreds of millions of dollars claiming these things while being one of the worst carbon offenders in the country? If he truly was concerned, he would have given up the polluting elements of his life. But like most elitists, his theory is "I know what's good for you!". Please, oh please don't just buy what the media is giving you. Educate yourself on the truth!

Elton John and Prop 8
Not ever the shrinking violet on gay rights, Elton John is actually the voice of reason on this topic. Here is the article on it, but here it is...
NEW YORK — Elton John, accompanied by his longtime partner, David Furnish, had some choice words about California's Proposition 8, the ban on same-sex marriage that passed on Nov. 4.
In December 2005, John and Furnish tied the knot in a civil partnership ceremony in Windsor, England. But, clarified the singer, "We're not married. Let's get that right. We have a civil partnership. What is wrong with Proposition 8 is that they went for marriage. Marriage is going to put a lot of people off, the word marriage."
John and Furnish, and their two cocker spaniels, Marilyn and Arthur, were in town for Tuesday's annual benefit for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
"I don't want to be married. I'm very happy with a civil partnership. If gay people want to get married, or get together, they should have a civil partnership," John says. "The word 'marriage,' I think, puts a lot of people off.
"You get the same equal rights that we do when we have a civil partnership. Heterosexual people get married. We can have civil partnerships."

Prop 8 Protestors
So, I have come to find out that anti-traditional marriage crowd is going to protest on November 15th. I think that we should do an anti, anti-traditional marriage protest. Tell them that the people have spoken and they should stop their crying, take their ball and go home like the bratty kids that they are (Was that a little over the top?). Please let me know if you wish to find out locations.
Was Bush a Conservative?
Here is a great article from Jonah Goldberg on this subject. The media tries to paint him as this ultra-conservative, but was he really? You be the judge.

Tolerance
As I hear from people who's viewpoint differ from mine, I always hear that I need to be more tolerant in my views. This generally comes from someone who does not know me very well and has no idea about how I actually think. Here's the thing though. The minute an outcome is different than what the "tolerant" people think should have happened, their tolerance amazingly betrays them. Here is the perfect example.
This was in Palm Springs. An elderly lady was about to be interviewed on TV when a No on Prop 8 group swarmed her.
Here is the definition of tolerance..."interest in and concern for ideas, opinions, practices, etc., foreign to one's own; a liberal, undogmatic viewpoint" and also "the act or capacity of enduring; endurance". You tell me. Do you see tolerance here? Just checking.

Rahm Emmanuel
Here is the President Elect's new Chief Of Staff Rahm Emmanuel being interviewed about forced National Service on the citizens of this free country. This "service" was also on Obama's website change.gov until it was scrubbed clean. There is also this article on it as well. As I have said before, we get what we deserve when he was elected
Veteran's Day
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the men and women of the military (past or present) who have fought and lived or died to maintain this former colony as the greatest nation on the planet. May all of it's citizens honor you and the sacrifices you have given so that could remain free. We owe you a debt that could never be repaid. May God bless all of you, especially on this day!
Google is Big Brother
Yes, I know that I am blogging on a Google site, but this article is just ridiculous. Am I the only who will think twice before using Google for anything other than this blog? The line that scares me the most in the article is one spoken by Google CEO Eric Schmidt "From a technological perspective, it is the beginning" WOW.

Global Warming?
A Sign of Things to Come?
I understand we are still under a Bush Administration, so this post will prove that I am a Conservative and not a Republican. The Federal Reserve has lent $2trillion dollars to institutions and is not revealing who it lent it to. Here is the article describing it. That is the taxpayers money. We need to demand to know where it is going or this will be the first of many things to come that will take us away from our core.

A Reason to Homeschool?
Here is a perfect example of how liberal ideology is being spread. This "teacher" berates one of her students whose father is in Iraq with the miltary all under the guise of "who would you vote for". Should this woman be fired? You be the judge.

Has the USA gone Blue?
According to the Washington Post Electoral county by county map, you might see something that looks familiar to you. It's the fact that the USA is still a center-right nation even when it elects a Democrat. Let's hope BHO remembers that in 2010 when we get some seats back in Congress. So, once again...Never Fear!

Joe the Plumber
I find it disgusting what has happened to Joe the Plumber. All he did was ask a simple question of Obama. Now, Obama's answer may have outed himself as the socialist that he is, but what has happened to Joe since, goes to show what happens when you speak out against "The One".
Here is Joe, taking Rick Sanchez of CNN to the woodshed in discussing taxes and principles, but Sanchez then dragging Joe into the mud. It never ceases to amaze me the bias the media has.

Obama's Past
What exactly do we know about Obama's past. Not much, but more trickles out all the time. Here is an article about his trips to Pakistan in college (always the place to go on vacation!)
Obama will BANKRUPT an Industry
Here is an audio of Obama telling a reporter in San Francisco (of course!) that the new cap and trade policy (see my man-made global warming debunks) will cause coal plant to go bankrupt and that it will "skyrocket" your energy bill

Senator Stealth
After reading this article by Stanley Kurtz over at NRO, the same question keeps coming to me...How is anybody voting for this guy?
Encouraging News!!!
Pollster John Zogby: "Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all. "Obama's lead among women declined, and it looks like it is occurring because McCain is solidifying the support of conservative women, which is something we saw last time McCain picked up in the polls. If McCain has a good day tomorrow, we will eliminate Obama's good day three days ago, and we could really see some tightening in this rolling average. But for now, hold on."
